Murchison River Floods 2006

The Murchison River floods of March 2006 were the biggest in 120 years.

At Berringarra the river was 15 kilometres wide.

At Milly Milly, 550 kilometres from the mouth, it was 10 kilometres wide.

In the lower river the water peaked at the Galena Bridge on 14 March 2006.

These photographs were taken on 18 March when the water level at Galena had dropped about a metre.
