Murchison River Floods 2006

Hardabut Rapid, 14 kilometres downriver from the Galena Bridge, drops about forty metres over its 1200 metre length in a confusion of raging, white-flecked, brown water.

In times of flood it is a Grade 6 rapid.

These photographs were taken on 18 March when the water level at Hardabut Rapid was not far below its peak.
