Murchison River Floods 2006

Kalbarri is a holiday town at the mouth of the Murchison River, 660 kilometres north of Perth.

A small area of Kalbarri was inundated and a sand bag levee was installed by the local SES and high school students.

In actuality Kalbarri was never really under threat.
