Round the World 2009

Our next trip is round the world in a Toyota 4Runner 4WD starting in Orange County, United States of America.

 

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Vehicle preparation in Orange County.

Start in Orange County and head north along the Pacific Coast Drive to San Francisco (Golden Gate Bridge) and then Yellowstone NP and check out the world's largest and tallest trees.  To Mammoth and then Las Vegas. 

To Zion NP and Bryce NP, Grand Canyon and Carlsblad Cavern before heading south to Mexico.

Arrive in Sydney.  Checkout the Harbour, Bridge and Concert Hall.  Head north to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.

Then across the Barkly Tableland to Alice Springs and Uluru (world's largest rock) and the spectacular Kata Juta.  Head north past the  Devils Marbles, Mataranka Hot Springs, Katherine Gorge, Litchfield NP, world heritage Kakadu NP and onto Darwin.

East to the amazing Bungle Bungle and the Kimberley - the last frontier.  Across the Gibb River Road. Lots of gorges, waterfalls, mountain ranges, savannah rangeland and breathtaking views. South to Broome. Karratha, 80 Mile Beach, world heritage Shark Bay, the Pinnacles and then onto the best place on earth - Perth.
