Southern Thailand beckoned, October 2016. From the resort town of Hua Hin it is a short drive to the Monsoon Winery. The design and operation of this venture is very Australian.
- At Monsoon Winery.
Initially I was unsure if we were on the correct road but we managed to find the winery/vineyard in the Hua Hin hills. From there we headed south on Route 4.

I wanted to get off the main roads and see some ‘country Thailand’.

The market at Sam Roi Yot looked interesting so we stopped for a walk around.

I drove into Sam Roi Yat Beach, past its protected harbour.

Not far from the National Park, I turned off Route 4 to find a resort by the beach. Kuiburi Resort was our home for the night.

Come morning we continued to head south. Past Surat Thani to beautiful Khanom.
