The Lake Perkolilli Motors Sports Club was formed in 1926. Given the limitations of the location and the development of the capabilities of motor vehicles, its demise was inevitable. However, it was petrol rationing in World War II that finally stopped motor car racing at Perkolilli. Its recent revival was not as inevitable but certainly fortuitous and warmly welcomed by the vintage motoring fraternity.
Those who had been at Lake Perkolilli since Friday night continued with the Road Trip to Coolgardie, Burra Rocks, Cave Hill and then to Victoria Rock. Andrew and Adi stayed to watch more of the racing and rendezvoused with the main group at Victoria Rock around 3.00 p.m.
