Skull Springs

Skull Springs are  on the Davis River, not far upriver from its confluence with the Oakover River.

Explorer and prospector Nat Cooke named Skull Springs in 1886 after finding an aboriginal skull lying on the sand there.

The turnoff to the Springs is well marked by an animal skull and an automotive suspension coil spring.
