The 727 kilometre long Condamine River has its source at Mount Superbus near Warwick in the Great Divide.
The Condamine River is the hydrological source and the first of four named watercourses that form the 3084 kilometre Darling River.
From its confluence with Dogwood Creek ( 27° 3′ 20″ S, 149° 37′ 33″ E) it is named the Balonne River.
