Noondamurra Pool and Breakaway

Noondamurra Pool is a permanent stretch of water on the Greenough River about 152 kilometres from its mouth. It is 30 kilometres WNW from Mullewa, 26 kilometres south-east of Yuna and accessed from the Yuna-Tenindewa Road.

The access track extends past Noodamurra Pool, part of he Northern Loop of Mullewa’s tourist route. Signage at the exit from the small loop track down to the river indicates a right turn (back to Yuna-Tenindewa Road). Ignore this, turn left and discover Noondamurra Breakaway. Breakaways are a common feature of regional Western Australia.

The track from Noondamurra Pool leads to a T Junction. The track to the left ends after only a few metres. The track to the right leads to the Noondamurra Breakaway.

This track leads deeper into Noondamurra Breakaway – essentially a ‘box canyon’ with numerous wonderful campsites.
