Henry Ernest Parry was born in 1856 in Barbados. He was the son of Bishop Henry Hutton and Elizabeth Mary Parry.
They arrived in Western Austalia from England in 1878. Parry married Minnie Catherine Fraser in 1881. They had six children.
Parry was an Engineer with the Works and Railways Department in 1881. From 1881 to 1883 he was the Traffic Manager for the Geraldton Railway. He was the Resident Engineer of the Eastern Districts Railway from 1885 to 1889 after which he was the Superintendent of the construction of the York and Beverley Great Southern Railway. He was in private practice in 1897. His date of death is unknown.
